The Russian military thwarted an attempt by units of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​​​the village of Russian Tishki in the Kharkov direction, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

“The losses of the enemy amounted to over 50 people.

The surviving servicemen of the brigade in the amount of 56 people attempted to withdraw in the direction of Kharkov.

When entering the northwestern outskirts of Saltovka, the military personnel of the 14th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine came under fire from the positions of the nationalist Kraken formation, which destroyed most of them, ”said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

He also noted that the Kyiv regime during the day continued unsuccessful attempts at offensive operations in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction.

Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, rocket troops and artillery inflicted significant damage on the advancing units and reserves of Ukrainian troops.

“Over the past day alone, during the hostilities in this direction, the enemy lost 31 tanks, 22 infantry fighting vehicles, 18 other armored combat vehicles, 8 pickup trucks with heavy machine guns, 17 units of special vehicles and more than 350 military personnel,” said a representative of the defense department. .

In addition, over 100 nationalists and 15 units of military equipment were liquidated as a result of strikes with precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces at the point of temporary deployment of units of the 93rd mechanized brigade near Chasov Yar of the DPR: due to heavy losses, low armament and lack of fire support, he refused to follow the orders of the command, left his positions and departed to the rear, ”said Konashenkov.

Also, two drone control posts, a firing platoon of American M777 howitzers, eight depots of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition were also destroyed by strikes from operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery.

Four command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 59 artillery units, manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 144 districts were also hit.

In turn, Russian air defense systems shot down eight UAVs and two US-made AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles.

One Tochka-U ballistic missile and 48 multiple rocket launchers, including 44 HIMARS MLRS, were also intercepted.

Zaporozhye NPP

The situation in the area of ​​the Zaporozhye NPP is difficult, but remains under full control of the Russian military, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“Despite the attempts of the Kyiv regime to disrupt the arrival of a group of IAEA experts at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the Russian side confirms its readiness to accept them with full safety for further work,” the statement says.

At the same time, on the morning of September 1, the Kyiv regime attempted a major provocation to disrupt the arrival of the IAEA working group at the ZNPP.

So, two sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a total number of up to 60 people on seven high-speed motor boats tried to land on the coast of the Kakhovka reservoir, three kilometers from the nuclear power plant.

It was indicated that their actions were blocked by units of the National Guard and units of the Russian Armed Forces that approached them for reinforcement.

Later, an attempt to land Ukrainian troops near the village of Vodiane was thwarted.

Both self-propelled barges with tactical landing forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were sunk as a result of fire damage by the Russian military.

As emphasized in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the destruction of the Ukrainian sabotage group is currently being completed.

As Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said on the air of Solovyov LIVE, three Ukrainian soldiers were taken prisoner: “Two of them are in serious condition, doctors are now fighting for their lives.”

At the same time, according to him, another 12 Ukrainian saboteurs are fighting.
