According to reports, Opal, the pipeline operator that receives natural gas from Nord Stream, said that the Baltic main line has stopped gas transmission since 4:00 Moscow time on the 31st.

According to previous news from Gazprom (Gazprom), due to the technical overhaul and preventive maintenance of the only compressor still in operation, the "Beixi-1" natural gas pipeline will be closed from August 31 to September. Gas supply was stopped for 2 days.

Regarding this matter, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov said on the 30th that apart from the technical problems caused by the sanctions against Russia, there are no other factors that prevent Russia from supplying natural gas to Europe through the "North Stream-1".

The "North Stream-1" natural gas pipeline starts from Vyborg, Russia, and goes to Germany via the Baltic Sea. It is the main pipeline for gas transmission from Russia to Europe.

Gazprom's subsidiaries hold 51% of the project operator Nord Stream Gas Pipeline, two German companies each hold 15.5%, and one Dutch and one French company each holds 9%.

Previously, the "Beixi-1" natural gas pipeline was shut down for maintenance from July 11 to 21, causing European countries to worry about Russia's energy supply.
