Former Ambassador Melnyk criticized the statement of the head of the German Defense Ministry on weapons for Ukraine

The ambassador also attached an image stating that Germany supplied Kyiv with only 9% PzH self-propelled guns and 7% Mars-II MLRS, and Ukraine did not receive the rest of the assistance from Berlin.

Earlier, Melnik canceled the invitation of the Prime Minister of Saxony Michael Kretschmer to Kyiv amid his statements about the need to negotiate with the Russian side.

On July 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Andriy Melnyk from the post of Ukrainian Ambassador to Berlin.

During his work, Melnik called German Chancellor Olaf Scholz a resentful liverwurst.

Also, in an interview with the German journalist Tilo Jung, he called the Nazi accomplice Stepan Bandera "a freedom fighter and Robin Hood."
