The industrial company Frabe in Nora works with, among other things, laser cutting and welding.

Today, the company saves as much electricity as it can, including by turning off lights and making sure that the machines are turned off when they are not in use.

But in order to produce, these machines are used daily, several hours a day.

Four times as expensive

Electricity bills have gone from SEK 80,000 a month to upwards of SEK 300,000, and the winter months are expected to be even more expensive.

At the same time, they cannot raise the prices of the products anyway.

- It's desperate, you don't know how to act, what to count on and how expensive it could be, says Fredrik Carlsson, CEO of the company.

Calls for action

He calls for immediate action from the country's government to help the companies so that they can continue to produce and operate.

- We want to see a maximum ceiling on what it can cost, so that you know what to follow in the short term.

In the long term, it is a met power grid need, he says.
