If there were a parliamentary election today, the Sweden Democrats would receive the support of 19 percent of Norrbothnia voters, according to an opinion poll by Kantar Sifo that was conducted on behalf of SVT, Sveriges Radio and Norr media.

This is an increase of three percentage points compared to the 2018 election.

The Sweden Democrats and the Center Party traditionally fight for voters in the countryside.

And as much as SD advances, support for the Center Party in the county is now decreasing.

(C) declines from last year's seven percent in Norrbotten, to only receiving support from four percent of Norrbotten residents according to the survey.

Age and gender make a difference

Norrbotten is still significantly redder than the rest of the country, but the Social Democrats look set to lose two percentage points compared to the last election.

The Green Party appears to have strengthened its position somewhat.

As for the other parties, no differences are visible between today's opinion poll and the 2018 election results.

Age and gender make a big difference when it comes to what we choose to vote for, shows the survey from Kantar Sifo.

The Sweden Democrats are now the largest party in the group of young men in Norrbotten.

Among young women in the county, the Left Party is the largest.
