The Russian special service established that the murder of Dugina, together with the Ukrainian woman Natalya Vovk, was prepared in Moscow by another member of the Ukrainian sabotage and terrorist group, a citizen of Ukraine, Bogdan Tsyganenko, born in 1978.

According to the FSB, he arrived in Russia in transit through Estonia on July 30, 2022 and left Russian territory the day before the bombing of Darya Dugina.

The FSB said that Tsyganenko provided Vovk with fake car numbers and documents in the name of a real-life citizen of Kazakhstan, Yulia Zaiko.

In addition, Tsyganenko, together with Zaiko, assembled an improvised explosive device in a rented garage in the south-west of Moscow.

The car driven by Dugina was blown up on the evening of August 20 in the Moscow region.

According to the FSB, Ukrainian special services are behind the murder of the journalist, the perpetrator is a citizen of Ukraine Natalia Vovk.

The FSB of Russia said that after blowing up the car, Dugina Vovk and her daughter Sophia Shaban left for Estonia through the Pskov region.
