The family of the four-year-old girl who died after drowning in a swimming pool in Guingamp (Côtes-d'Armor) announced on Friday that they had filed a complaint.

The girl had inhaled water during an outing with the Ploumagoar leisure center (Côtes-d'Armor) on July 27.

She had been hospitalized and died on August 2, her parents said in a press release relayed by

The complaint was filed on August 22, their lawyer said.

The purpose of the approach is “to understand the circumstances in which such a tragedy could have occurred”, can we read in the press release.

The family of the child denounced comments made by Vincent Le Meaux, president of Guingamp-Paimpol Agglomeration, manager of the swimming pool.
