Anna Eduards lives in a 135 square meter villa in Kungsör with her family.

The house is heated with direct electricity and a wood stove.

Last winter, when electricity prices hit the roof, she was, like other homeowners, shocked by the price tag for a month's electricity, especially when the January bill came to SEK 20,275.

- I know I wasn't the only one affected by the outrageous prices.

I had friends who were embarrassed to tell me what their electric bill was.

Anna believes that the family's consumption of electricity in no way stands out, and that it was usually SEK 7,000 in winter.

Searched with a thermal camera

As a measure, they installed a new air source heat pump, and looked for temperature differences with a thermal camera in order to seal where heat escaped.

- It feels like the new air source heat pump heats better than the old one.

We haven't seen any differences in the electricity bill yet because it's not winter yet, but of course we're hoping for lower costs.
