Earlier, Balitsky said that the regional authorities had created a plan for the evacuation of the population in the event of an accident at a nuclear power plant.
On August 27, as a result of another shelling by the Ukrainian military, four shells hit the roof of one of the special buildings of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, where American nuclear fuel is stored.
French President Emmanuel Macron, at a meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, declared his commitment to sending an expert mission of the agency to the Zaporozhye NPP as soon as possible.
