The 80-year-old woman is now being treated at the Central Hospital in Kristianstad for life-threatening injuries, according to Region Skåne.
According to witnesses, the man allegedly attacked her and that she then fell to the ground.
The police took a suspected perpetrator into custody, who was then handed over to healthcare.
He is suspected of aggravated assault.
