On the 27th local time, the Czech House of Representatives approved Finland and Sweden to join NATO.

Subsequently, the relevant application will be signed by the Czech president, and the approval will mark the country's official approval of Finland and Sweden's application for entry into the treaty.

  In the vote for Finland to join NATO, 134 of the 152 members of the Czech House of Representatives in attendance supported it, while four opposed it.

In the vote for Sweden to join NATO, 135 of the 151 MPs present at the meeting were in favour and 4 were against.

  Czech presidential spokesman Ovčáček said that President Zeman has supported the two Nordic countries to join NATO from the very beginning.
