An integrated plan to upgrade teachers in public schools

Hessa Rasheed, Acting Executive Director of the Second Branch of the Emirates Foundation for School Education, revealed that the Foundation has prepared a plan to upgrade teachers, based on the leadership’s keenness and interest in the educational process, educational cadres and teacher promotions, as there is an integrated plan to deal with the observations received about teacher promotions.

She added, "The plan will be implemented, and its activation will be announced at a later time."

And she stated, during press statements, that the institution is working to evaluate the performance of teachers through the standards approved by the Federal Authority for Human Resources (FAHR), based on certain competencies and a certain percentage of the goals achieved by the teacher, explaining that at the end of each academic year teachers are evaluated through Achieving this ratio, which comes from the teacher's classroom lessons.

Regarding the second grade leaders, Rashid said: “We are currently working on preparing the second grade of school leaders, where we enable them through different types of training, including training the teacher on specific points, in addition to his teaching quorum. After passing the interview, he will be eligible for promotion.

She added, "The educational field needs leaders in the first grade of schools, because of the periodic developments that the educational field witnesses every academic year, including resignations and retirement, then the need for leaders in schools remains, but we look at the need for our schools to be qualified with the presence of a leader in every school." To ensure the reception of students.

And she continued: "We begin our new academic year by launching various training workshops targeting 22,557 teachers and administrators, and they will continue throughout the school year, to continue developing cadres and providing them with the latest methods," noting that "the Foundation has employed 1,096 male and female teachers and educational cadres, to raise the institution's readiness and ability to fill current and future needs.

The Foundation distributed 857 new interactive display devices to schools, in addition to providing backup devices distributed to all schools for use in emergency situations.

There are 564 public schools in the country with 24,751 educational staff, and approximately 274,895 students attend them.

The new school year begins tomorrow in schools across the country, and students 12 years and over are required to submit a negative PCR test result on the first day of the school year, so that they can enter their schools.

Public school students can conduct a “Covid-19” examination in 226 centers designated for this purpose, at the state level.
