"Emirates Today" monitored real estate websites that promote information about private schools in the country, their locations, buildings and residential villas nearby, in addition to details about residential properties and the value of rents, to encourage students' families to take advantage of their proximity to their children's schools.

Parents of students in private schools reported that they decided to move to housing close to their children’s schools, to save bus fees, and reduce transportation expenses in their vehicles, especially those who live in emirates and areas far from their children’s schools.

The cost of school bus fees is 4,000 dirhams per student, which decreases to approximately 1,700 dirhams if they are connected to their vehicles, per month.

In detail, "Abu Malik", the father of three students, said that he lives in the Hamriyah area between the emirates of Umm Al Quwain and Ajman, while his children study in the Muwailih area in the Emirate of Sharjah.

He added that school buses cannot deliver his children because of the distance and the absence of other students, in addition to his inability to pay 12,000 dirhams of school bus transportation fees.

He explained that he incurred more than 1,700 dirhams last year to transport them with his car to and from schools, in addition to his suffering from traffic jams on the road, which made him think about taking advantage of real estate offers, and moving to live near the school, to save time, effort and money.

He explained that through one of the real estate websites, he found a house near his children's school, and decided to move to it before the start of the new school year.

Muhammad Salha said that he has five children studying in the Emirate of Sharjah, but he resides in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, which costs him large sums of money for transportation fees on school buses, as he pays each student 4,000 dirhams, equivalent to 20,000 dirhams annually.

He explained that he began to rationalize his family's economic expenses by moving to live on a street in front of schools, which helped him save school bus fees.

He stated that moving to live near schools contributes to the early return of his children to the house and avoiding traffic jams during the end of school and administrative hours.

Umm Faisal stated that she has three children who study in Ras Al Khaimah while she lives in the Al Jazirah Al Hamra area, where school buses refuse to transport students from that area because it is far from the school district, which prompted her and her husband to move to housing in the Al Khorram area near her children’s schools, and deliver them With her vehicle instead of school buses, to save money and time.

She explained that she moved to the new residence at the beginning of this August, especially after she found advertisements on social media promoting residential properties near private schools, at prices commensurate with their economic situation.

On the other hand, private school administrations indicated that student housing near the schools helps them arrive on time, without being late for the morning shift, in addition to the fact that they arrive at their full physical potential, similar to their late and exhausted arrival from the distance between their homes and schools.

She added that she had noticed over the past years that most of the students who were late for the first class lived far from schools, or in other emirates, due to traffic jams in the morning.

She pointed out that housing near the schools gives the student complete comfort as he studies near his home, and raises his academic level because he is at the top of his focus during the morning classes as a result of arriving early for the semester.

In addition, real estate websites published promotional advertisements regarding residential properties and villas near private schools.

As soon as the students' parents start searching, the names of the real estate appear to them next to the names of the private schools.

The details include the area of housing, services and utilities in the residential buildings, in addition to the annual rent and payment method.

Advertisements for properties near schools include housing space, services and building facilities, in addition to the annual rent.
