Mikael Ejeklint in Kävlinge checks what the hourly price of electricity is the first thing he does when he wakes up.

It has become a hobby for him to check how prices differ during the day, but it is also to keep the family's electricity bill down.

Adjusts everyday life according to hourly rate

Nord Pool Spot shows the spot price on the Nordic electricity exchange.

The hourly price paid by customers includes, among other things, VAT, tax and electricity grid charges.

During a day in electricity area 4, electricity is usually most expensive on average around seven to nine in the morning and around six to eight in the evening.

The average price varies during the day between 19.57 öre/kWh to 792.6 öre/kWh.

For Mikael Ejeklint, it is important not to waste electricity at home during the hours when the price is at its highest.

Therefore, the family chooses, for example, to do laundry and dishes during the night and cook large meals on the weekend during hours when the price is lower.

Hear in the video about the hourly rate and why the Ejeklint family chose to have it.
