The two main suspects in the assassination of a young Afghan in Colmar on Sunday August 14, 2022 were indicted this Friday for assassination, said in a press release the public prosecutor of Colmar Catherine Sorita-Minard.
“That is to say murder with premeditation, and violations of the legislation on weapons, for having acquired, possessed, transferred, a weapon of category B, in this case an automatic pistol, in a meeting” specifies the prosecution.

The investigating magistrate “thus considered at this stage of the investigation that there were serious or concordant indications that they were co-authors, and not author and accomplice.
“One of the two suspects is a minor, born in 2005 in Colmar and a young adult, born in 2004, originally from Vannes but also domiciled in Colmar.
“Both have significant criminal records despite their young age adds the prosecution;
they have both already been followed by the services of the judicial protection of youth and have been imprisoned in the past by decision of the juvenile court.

The two young people were placed in pre-trial detention by decision of the judge of freedoms and detention, “to avoid any pressure on the witnesses and any consultation, and to avoid any recidivism”.
