It is noted that the main reason that led to a reduction in the number of purchases among gamers was the high prices of games - 34% of respondents answered this way.

At the same time, as experts said, the same number of survey participants began to download them from torrent trackers.

At the same time, 15% of respondents refused to buy because of the attitude of developers and publishers towards Russian players, 7% of Russians complained about the poor quality of new games, and 10% do not want to look for workarounds to make a purchase, according to the survey results.

As analysts explained

So, a quarter of the players were forced to create a new account registered in another country, and 23% had to start foreign online wallets.

In addition, 20% experience inconvenience when converting rubles into foreign currency, and 15% have changed the region in digital video game buying services.

Nevertheless, the difficulties that have arisen have not led to a reduction in the spending of Russians on video games, on the contrary, over the past six months, these costs have increased, experts found out.

The share of gamers spending 5-10 thousand rubles on purchases has grown over the past six months: 32% of respondents versus 23% before February. 

Otherwise, the distribution of users by spending on games changed slightly, the company said.

Compared to last year, the monthly number of users visiting online gaming resources increased by 32%.

Omsk (+24%), Tomsk (+23%), Kemerovo (+19%) regions showed the highest growth.

The survey involved 1231 respondents aged 18 years and older.
