NASA = National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced that astronaut Koichi Wakata's fifth space flight will be launched after October 3rd.

Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata is scheduled to stay on the International Space Station for about half a year after boarding the fifth unit of the US private spacecraft "Crew Dragon".

NASA announced on the 25th that it plans to launch the spacecraft on which Mr. Wakata will ride after October 3rd.

Until now, NASA had set the launch time as ``after September 29'', but said that the launch time was adjusted to ensure sufficient space between spacecraft traveling to and from the International Space Station.

This time, Mr. Wakata will go to space with two NASA astronauts and one Russian astronaut.

This is the fifth space flight for Mr. Wakata, the most by any Japanese, but it is the first launch for the other three people.

Mr. Wakata will collaborate with other astronauts to carry out various activities such as experiments that will be useful for future exploration plans for the Moon and Mars. I'm here.
