During a festival in Gaza in honor of the victims of the recent Israeli escalation, Nakhaleh stressed that "the joint operations room continues its work, and the Gaza government is carrying out its duties."
Hundreds of Palestinians participated in the festival, which was held in the Shejaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
"We will fight the enemy (Israel) over time, until it leaves our occupied land," Al-Nakhala said.
And he added - in a recorded speech broadcast at the festival - "We say to the occupation: Either you, or we in this country, which is ours, we will fight you over time, and we will fight you over everything, and we will continue to fight until you leave."
Al-Nakhla held Israel fully responsible for its evasion of its obligations, reiterating that his movement stands by the prisoners and supports their struggle against the occupation’s prison administration, stressing that the occupation “still evades its commitments it made to the Egyptians.”
He also denounced "the behavior of the security services, and their pursuit, arrest and torture of fighters in the West Bank."
In turn, the spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades (the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement) Abu Hamza said - in a recorded speech - that "what the Al-Quds Brigades did in the battle of the unity of the squares is a legitimate and patriotic necessity that broke the enemy's prestige again, and its dreams aimed at separating Gaza from the rest of Palestine." .
He added that, "Over the course of 3 days, Al-Quds Brigades (the last military battle with Israel) destroyed the settlements, military bases and the Israeli center cities with more than a thousand missiles and shells, including the demolition of 58 cities and usurped in one minute with intense rocket fire."
In early August, Israel launched a military operation on the Gaza Strip, which ended with a cease-fire agreement between the occupation and the Islamic Jihad, and resulted in the death of 49 Palestinians, including 17 children, and the injury of about 360 different injuries within 3 days.
