Polyansky spoke about the possible date of the IAEA visit to the Zaporozhye NPP

According to him, the organization's experts can visit the station in late August - early September.

The Deputy Permanent Representative also stressed that he was optimistic about the organization of the visit of the IAEA delegation to ZNPP.

“What it will lead to is hard to say, I’m not sure that the IAEA will give estimates that maybe someone expects from them,” TASS quotes him.

Polyansky also noted that the task of the IAEA mission is to assess the state of the plant and the situation with its safety.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron, at a meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, declared his commitment to sending an expert mission of the agency to the Zaporozhye NPP as soon as possible.
