　　Huang Luqi, deputy director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, president of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, pointed out in his speech that in October 2020, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, together with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Construction Leading Group Office and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, issued the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Construction Leading Group Office". The Construction Plan for the Highland of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (2020-2025), which strongly supports the development of traditional Chinese medicine.

In the past two years, the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have been actively innovating and forging ahead in the implementation, and have achieved outstanding mid-term results.

At present, the Hong Kong SAR government is building the first Chinese medicine hospital in Hong Kong, which is expected to be put into service in phases from 2025.
