The father of the family booked a direct flight for him and his family in January 2022. But American Airlines, his airline, then sent him an email asking him to prepare for his future “trip to Canada”.

Taken aback, he then discovered that his destination was no longer Burlington but Montreal.

He drives for six hours to reach his destination

After unsuccessful telephone exchanges, the American went directly to the airport to solve the problem.

Another flight taking him to Burlington with a connection in Philadelphia was finally found.

But on D-Day, when the family had just landed in Philly, they learned that their second flight had simply been… cancelled.

In question: a flight attendant from the company who simply did not show up for work that day.

His brother's wedding taking place the next day, the father of the family found himself in a hurry and without any solution: the airline company could not offer him either a hotel room or a rental car.

The man ended up renting a vehicle at his own expense and reached Burlington at night, driving from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

He finally arrived on time at his brother's wedding after an extraordinary journey and a sleepless night.

American Airlines offered to reimburse him for the canceled flight and offered vouchers of approximately 300 euros to each member of the family.
