A 39-metre-high superyacht sank off the coast of southern Italy.

It is a yacht called 'Saga' built in Monaco in 2007. On the night of the 20th, while heading for Milagio, Sicily, from Gallipoli, Italy, the yacht suddenly began to flood.

The captain sent an emergency disaster report in the middle of the night, and the dispatched coast guard craft confirmed that the stern was being submerged and set out to rescue.

The four Italian passengers and one crew member were rescued from the scene immediately, but the four crew members, including the captain, remained on board to save the yacht until the very end.

After a while, towing began, but the yacht quickly began to tilt to starboard and eventually sank completely.

Fortunately, the remaining four crew members were rescued safely.

Netizens commented, "What a mess an expensive luxury yacht sinks like that?!"

"It's a miracle that you're safe. I hope that there will be no trauma left."
