The public is prohibited from accessing the educational farm in the Parc des Chanteraines (Hauts-de-Seine).

The decision was made after the death of two goats.

The animals died after being fed unsafe food by visitors.

They had notably received crisps, pizzas and fries, reports

The rules of the farm specify however that it is forbidden to give them food.

Park officials deplored in a statement the proliferation of “incivility towards animals and staff”.

They recalled that the residents deserved the respect of visitors and were not “inert toys”.

The document states that riding animals or “feeding them improperly” are unacceptable behaviors.

Throwing stones or violence are, for their part, ill-treatment punishable by law.

The farm had reopened a few days earlier after a closure intended to protect the animals from the heat wave.
