Tunisian Minister of Justice Leïla Jaffel is accused by dismissed magistrates of having misled Tunisians to justify the non-execution of the decisions of the administrative court on August 22, which restores about fifty judges to their position and suspends the decisions of their dismissal.

They deplore the inaccuracy of the press release from the Ministry of Justice, which would have led people to believe that proceedings had been launched against them.

For Mourad Messoudi, president of the Association of young magistrates, the case is closed.

The government is trying to buy time.

On the one hand, he has a plan to leave his posts empty and direct justice by appointing new magistrates in place of absentees and to liquidate his political adversaries.

On the other hand, by delaying in applying the court decision, the minister is trying to save her reputation, and also her seat in government

,”

he explains.

From what we have been told, the Minister of Justice has fabricated these shameful complaints.

They cannot be taken into account in the context of criminal complaints, because they are invented from scratch, and contravene the principle of adversarial

proceedings, ”says Mourad Messoudi, joined by

Houda Ibrahim,

from the Africa service.

The minister is in a delicate position: the President of the Republic has not met her for a long time and it seems that he would like to dismiss her.

That's why she wants to appear as the one who was right.

She therefore joined forces with the Minister of the Interior to have security files that would compromise the judges concerned.

As a result, the President of the Republic and the executive in general find themselves in the midst of a scandal

, ”he describes.
