The Finnish Prime Minister's drug test came back negative, we learned on Monday.

Sanna Marin had agreed to undergo this test to "dispel suspicion" after the broadcast of a video showing her partying with friends.

Sanna Marin's urine was tested on August 19 for the presence of different drugs: cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis and opioids.

The results were signed off by a doctor, according to the Prime Minister's office.

“The test was a complete test,” said Iida Vallin, special adviser to Sanna Marin.

“We didn't choose how the test was done?

A regularly criticized party girl

A video leaked in mid-August showing the 36-year-old executive dancing and partying with a group of friends and celebrities.

The footage has created controversy around the world, with some interpreting the comments heard in the video as referring to drugs.

This has been the subject of heated debate on social media.

The Prime Minister rejected all drug use and submitted to a drug test to prove it.

She had previously admitted to drinking alcohol at that party.

However, she said she did not witness any drug taking by the participants in the event.

“Never in my life, and not even in my youth, did I take drugs,” she said.

Appointed Prime Minister in 2019, Sanna Marin has already been heavily criticized following parties at her official residence.

In December 2021, she was strongly condemned after going dancing in a nightclub when she was exposed to Covid-19.

According to a poll conducted by a Finnish channel, two thirds of the inhabitants considered that his evening was a “serious error”.
