Explosions occurred at a Russian munitions depot on the Ukrainian border, the second time in six days that explosions have been reported there.

The governor of Belgorod province, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that some of the shells ignited alone, perhaps because the lenses in the munitions caught sunlight in the summer heat.

There were no injuries, according to the Interfax news agency, and residents of the area were taken to a local hospital for protection.

The ammunition depot is located in the town of Timonovo, 4.5 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Explosions were also reported there last Thursday, as well as at another depot in Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014, two weeks ago.
