China News Agency, Hong Kong, August 22. According to Hong Kong media reports, Hong Kong Next Media founder Li Zhiying and others are suspected of violating the Hong Kong National Security Law. A case management hearing will be held in the Hong Kong High Court on the 22nd.
The 10 defendants in the case are Li Zhiying, former Next Media CEO Zhang Jianhong, former "Apple Daily" vice president Chen Peimin, former editor-in-chief Luo Weiguang, former executive editor-in-chief Lin Wenzong, former English edition executive editor-in-chief Feng Weiguang, former chief editor Yang Qingqi, Apple Daily Co., Ltd., Apple Daily Printing Co., Ltd., Apple Daily Internet Co., Ltd.
The case was heard by three Hong Kong National Security Law-appointed judges, Du Libing, Li Sulan and Li Yunteng.
