Almost 9 thousand people extinguish forest fires in the Ryazan region

This was reported by TASS with reference to the statement of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who arrived in the region.

“At the request of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the group was increased to almost 9,000 people.

We sent an additional 200 pieces of equipment to prevent the fire from spreading, to localize it and liquidate it,” he said.

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Ilya Denisov said that the department attracted groups of forces and means from five neighboring regions to extinguish large fires in the Ryazan region.
