The total number of old-age beds nearly doubled from 4.165 million at the end of 2012.

Over the past 10 years, my country has focused on the problem of "urgency and hope" for the elderly, effectively meeting the multi-level and diversified needs of the elderly for elderly care services. The construction of the elderly care service system with Chinese characteristics is accelerating, and the supply of elderly care services is more optimized.

  The supply of elderly care services continues to increase.

From 2012 to 2021, the central government has invested a total of 35.9 billion yuan to support the construction of elderly care service facilities. Community elderly care services basically cover urban communities and more than half of rural communities. The elderly care service system that coordinates home and community institutions and combines medical care, health care, and health care continues to improve.

In terms of welfare assistance and security for the elderly, old-age allowances, pension service subsidies, nursing subsidies, and comprehensive subsidies have benefited 30.695 million, 4.479 million, 789,000, and 702,000 seniors respectively; as of the first quarter of this year, 14.199 million senior citizens across the country received minimum living allowances 3.717 million elderly people are included in the scope of assistance and support for the extremely poor.

  The quality and form of elderly care services have been continuously improved.
