The initiative started about two months ago and for two hours you can talk about different topics, have coffee, participate in lectures and also paint and draw.

- We don't have that many contexts for LGBTQI people in a small town like Sala.

Then you usually get to go and visit Västerås, Stockholm or the like.

So we want to create a place for us here in Sala, says Johanna Ritvadotter (V), chairman of Sala Pride.

Everyone is welcome

The meetings are also open to parents and others who have acquaintances who identify as queer or LGBTQI.

A presence that, according to those responsible, is important.

- Relatives and friends should be able to come here and feel that here it is okay to ask questions if you have concerns.

We have had young people who brought their parents with them, for example, points out Beatrice Björkskog.

You can hear more about the café in the clip.
