French President Emmanuel Macron will embark on a three-day visit to Algeria starting next Thursday, according to a statement by the French presidency.

According to the source, "Macron will be accompanied by a government delegation and a number of officials, in addition to representatives of the media, as he will visit Algiers and Oran."

During the visit, Macron will meet President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, where the two parties are expected to discuss a number of files, including memory files and other regional issues of common interest.

Today, Saturday, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a phone call from his French counterpart Macron.


According to a statement by the Presidency of the Algerian Republic, "Macron offered his condolences to President Tebboune for the victims of the fires that broke out in some states of the country."

"The two sides discussed in the phone call the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in addition to the agenda of the upcoming visit of the French president to Algeria," the statement added.
