A man in his 50s is sentenced to five years in prison by the Skaraborg district court after, among other things, several cases of rape against a girl who was cared for at the HVB home where he worked as a carer.

The girl was 15 years old when she was placed at the HVB home in Skaraborg to receive care according to LVU, last summer.

The abuse started in September and continued until the man had to stop in February earlier this year, after another resident became suspicious of what was happening.

Was raped in staff room

On repeated occasions, the man raped the girl through sexual intercourse, or acts comparable to sexual intercourse.

The rapes have taken place, among other things, in staff rooms, in staff toilets, in parking lots and on trips.

He has also filmed and taken pictures of the girl in sexual positions.

"Serious and aggravated crimes"

In its verdict, the Skaraborg district court leans both on the plaintiff's own story, which they judge to be credible, as well as the many emails, text messages and pictures that were sent between the people.

The district court describes it in the judgment as "serious and serious crimes (...) against a vulnerable fifteen-year-old whom XX had the responsibility to protect and care for".

The man is also convicted of sexual abuse of children, gross exploitation of children for sexual posing and child pornography offences.

During the trial, the man has admitted the circumstances of sexual posing but denies any other crime.
