Recently, a large-scale explosion has continued in the Krum Peninsula, a Russian-occupied territory connected to southern Ukraine.

First, the explosion at the Saki military airfield on the Krum Peninsula on the 9th destroyed several aircraft and nearby buildings, followed by explosions on the 16th and yesterday (18th) in various places.

The Krum Peninsula, which Russia forcibly annexed from Ukraine in 2014 and is now being used as a rear supply base during the war, has become a battleground and the Ukrainian War, six months after the start of the war, is entering a new phase.

A midnight explosion continues around the Belbek Air Base located in Sevastopol, south of the Krum Peninsula.



On the night of the 18th alone, there were at least four explosions around the base.



On the Krum Peninsula, on the 9th, a large-scale explosion at the Saki military airfield destroyed at least 8 aircraft and nearby buildings, and on the 16th, a fire broke out in the ammunition depot of the Jankoi area military base.



Ukraine's defense minister said resistance units under the Ukrainian Special Operations Command were infiltrating enemy-occupied territories and destroying supplies, ammunition and command posts.



It is a tactic against the Russian army entering by thoroughly destroying the target with a missile attack.

The Ukrainian army's attack continued as far as Belgorod, Russia's border, and it is known that a large-scale counterattack is also being prepared around southern Kherson.



The Russian military is operating an air defense system in the city of Kerch, which has a bridge connecting the Krm Peninsula and mainland Russia, and is deploying missile forces in Belarus.



As the danger escalated, including shelling around the Zaporiza nuclear power plant, UN Secretary-General Guterres met with President Zelensky in Ukraine to agree on a plan to send an inspection team to the nuclear power plant.



However, as Russia's acceptance has not been decided, it is still being evaluated as a half agreement.
