During Friday morning, nearly 70 bus departures were canceled around Uppsala County.

According to Keolis, which runs the regional buses in Uppsala on behalf of UL, the explanation is a combination between a shortage of bus drivers, continued holiday periods and the transition to an autumn timetable.

- We now operate 2,300 departures every day in Uppsala, so it must be seen in perspective, says Ann-Sofie Myrén, communicator at Keolis.

Urges to have the UL app close

Information about disturbances in bus traffic must be reported via UL's channels, including the app and website.

Something that Keolis had previously been bad at, but which they now promise to improve on.

- We have taken to heart that we previously announced disruptions too late, so we are working on that, says Ann-Sofie Myrén, communicator at Keolis.

At the same time, she believes that it is a difficult balance because the company sometimes finds solutions at the last second.

- Then we can get hold of an hourly employee who solves that particular departure in the short term, says Ann-Sofie Myrén, communicator at Keolis.

When the problem can be thought to be solved, Keolis finds it difficult to answer, but urges to be alert to changes in departures and in such cases find alternative solutions.
