After meeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Lviv on Thursday, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres continued his visit on Friday to Odessa, a crucial Ukrainian port for the resumption of grain exports blocked by war.
4:07 am: Xi and Putin to attend G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia says
Chinese and Russian Presidents Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin will attend the G20 summit scheduled for Bali in November, Indonesian President Joko Widodo told Bloomberg on Thursday, saying the Kremlin chief had informed him directly of his attendance.
No comment was immediately obtained from the services of the Indonesian presidency.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
This declaration comes at a time when the West is pressuring Indonesia to withdraw its invitation to Vladimir Putin because of the offensive launched by Russia in Ukraine.
