The Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al Nuaimi, was briefed on the progress of work on the Sheikh Ammar Street development project, whose completion rate has reached 65%. Al-Nuaimi, accompanied by the CEO of EAMS Group, Ahmed Hassan Al-Foara, the Director of the Roads and Infrastructure Department in the department, Eng. Abdullah Mustafa Al-Marzouqi, and the competencies working on the project, inspected the development work on the street, which is expected to be completed early next year 2023, explaining that the project’s goal is to expand the street From both sides, it will be 3 lanes in each direction from Al-Rawda Bridge to Sheikh Ammar Bridge to increase the capacity of the street to suit daily use and the rate of its visitors around the clock.
And he indicated that Sheikh Ammar Street is one of the most vital streets in the emirate, which necessitated the preparation of a development plan that includes a study of the current situation and identification of current and future needs. and reduce traffic congestion.
Al Nuaimi explained that the department has recently opened the intersection on Sheikh Ammar Street near the school complex in the Al Tallah area, after completing the development of the intersection, implementing the rain drainage network and installing traffic signals, as part of the development stages of the street to improve traffic for those coming from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street towards the city center.
