The meeting was also attended by the heads of the emergency departments of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

“The meeting is taking place in a difficult period when the global security system is changing and the CSTO member states are required to take coordinated and collective measures to ensure the security of our states and the region as a whole, including from natural and man-made disasters,” said Kurenkov, welcoming the participants Events.

During the conversation, Kurenkov stressed that the task of the CSTO is to strengthen the external borders of the organization, improve the forces and means of collective response to new challenges and threats.

It is noted that the participants of the meeting listened to and approved the action plan for the interaction of the authorized bodies of the CSTO member states in the field of prevention and elimination of the consequences of emergency situations.

Discussing the issue of creating a rescue training center in Tajikistan, Kurenkov stressed that the Russian Cabinet of Ministers had decided to provide humanitarian assistance to the country in the form of supplying equipment and simulators to complete the center.

At the end of the meeting, Kurenkov invited the participants of the event to take part in the International Salon "Integrated Security - 2023".

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the CSTO should ensure a balance in the Euro-Atlantic.
