A fire was brought under control in a church in Giza Governorate, Egypt

Today, Friday, the Civil Protection forces in the Egyptian governorate of Giza announced that they had controlled a fire in the “Church of the Virgin Mary” in the north of the governorate, west of the capital, Cairo.

The official of the Civil Protection Operations Room in Giza said that the Operations Room was informed by the Emergency Police Department of smoke rising from the church located in the village of Al-Barajil in Osim, and the firefighting forces rushed to the site of the accident to deal with the situation quickly.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the speed of the movement of the civil protection forces to the site of the accident contributed greatly to controlling the situation before it escalated without any injuries, and starting the cooling process to prevent it from recurring again, and the inspection indicated that the cause of the fire was a short circuit.
