According to the WHO, 590,659,276 cases of coronavirus have been identified in the world so far.

It is noted that the number of victims of the virus has reached 6,440,163.

The organization added that 890,907 new cases of COVID-19 were detected per day in the world.

Earlier, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Onishchenko recalled in a conversation with the FAN about the importance of revaccination against COVID-19.

He noted that there is an increase in the number of cases due to new variations of "omicron" BA.5 and BA.2, which are more contagious.
