With our correspondent in Washington,

These are media outlets that would like to know more.

The NBC and CNN television networks as well as the daily newspaper the

Washington Post

would like to know what led to the authorization of

the search

and what exactly the investigators are looking for.

Their lawyer argues the historical nature of the case and the public's right to information.

Donald Trump, who continues to denounce a political instrumentalization of justice, also calls for transparency, but only by press release, not to the point of accompanying the media in their request before the court.

The Department of Justice does not want to jeopardize the investigation

On the other hand, the Department of Justice, which had requested the publication of the warrant and the list of documents seized during the search, does not wish to go further.

According to his representative, this could jeopardize the ongoing investigation, and perhaps also dampen the enthusiasm of witnesses who would consider answering the questions of those who are leading this extremely sensitive investigation.

Federal judge Bruce Reinhart says he is rather inclined to publish the elements in question, but does not wish to sabotage the work already done.

So he's asking the Department of Justice to draft a version of his argument that would guarantee all of that.

And to present the result to him on Thursday August 25 so that he can make a decision.
