This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

It is noted that the fifth class of fire danger is predicted in the region from 19 to 22 August.

“This means that grass, peat bogs and woodlands, as well as flammable materials, are likely to ignite,” a spokesman for the department said.

According to him, there is a headquarters for control over the fire hazard situation in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Moscow Region.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Alexander Kurenkov, went to the Ryazan region in order to coordinate the extinguishing of large centers of forest fires.
