Putin noted that recently Russian shipbuilding companies have had difficulties with the supply of foreign equipment and components for civilian ships.
According to him, the reason lies in the failure of foreign partners to fulfill their obligations due to political, market considerations.
The head of state said that he had discussed similar difficulties with representatives of other sectors of the Russian economy.
“We agreed to take specific measures in response to the unfriendly actions of foreign suppliers,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
Earlier, Putin spoke about the problems with the replacement of foreign equipment in the construction of ships.
He noted the need to make every effort to ensure that, despite the difficulties that arise, all projects are completed with high quality and on time.
