The Center for Amicable Settlement of Disputes in Dubai Courts was able to settle more than 87% of the files referred to it, with a value of six billion and 531 million and 970 thousand dirhams, the outcome of the settlement of 3,022 files.

The center's performance index increased remarkably during the current year compared to the results of last year, which witnessed the settlement of 1,755 files by 73%, with a value of four billion and 136 million and 189 thousand dirhams.

The annual report of the Dubai Courts revealed that the high results of the Center for Amicable Settlement of Disputes were not limited to the number of completed files and the percentage of reaching a settlement, but it achieved distinguished results in the settlement rate from the date of file registration, with an average of 13 days, while the average separation from the date of recording the first session was only eight days .

The report indicated that the files that were settled included 1,070 expertise files, 725 commercial disputes, 199 real estate disputes, and 146 civil disputes.

The center also achieved a 100% completion rate of digital reconciliation agreements, and the number of smart requests it executed during the past year reached 23,793 requests.

In its annual report, the Dubai Courts stated that it harnessed all possibilities to resolve disputes through amicable settlement before moving to the approved legal procedures. The center’s achievements included documenting reconciliation agreements in one day for civil, commercial and real estate disputes to make them a strong executive bond, in addition to contributing to the training of university and college graduates. To spread the culture of settlement and reconciliation.

The center pointed to the resolution of many disputes in several civil, commercial and real estate sectors, which contributed to reducing the burden and saving effort and time on the courts and litigants, achieving effective justice characterized by accuracy and speed, and providing accessible judicial services to all in the context of efforts to advance leading and distinguished courts globally.

According to the center, the mechanism for dealing with files and requests depends on communicating and negotiating with the parties to the conflict through visual communication by entering the official website of the Dubai Courts, then registering in the case hearings by the visual communication system. Through a single password without any direct fees for the service, and then it is sent to the competent judge for approval.

After the settlement is completed, the full judicial fees for the disputer will be recovered directly by bank transfer based on Law No. 7 of 2020 amending some provisions of Law No. 21 of 2015, regarding judicial fees in Dubai Courts, and after reaching an understanding, the agreement is signed and approved from one to three hours .

The Center for Amicable Settlement of Disputes in Dubai Courts is an official judicial body, and it is one of the mechanisms for reducing litigation costs, and a foundation for the need of the business community in Dubai by providing an easy, affordable and low-cost means of settling disputes, and then considering the settlement and reconciliation agreement as an enforceable judicial ruling on both parties. dispute.

The annual report 2021 showed the registration of Dubai Courts as a remarkable indicator in the implementation of the unified customer complaints system for the Government of Dubai, as it handled complaints completely, compared to the target percentage previously set by the Government of Dubai for complaints that must be resolved within seven working days.

Dubai Courts have launched a number of initiatives and promotional programs that have achieved tangible achievements by focusing on the needs of employees, including the “She is on your mind” initiative, which is related to the employee’s mental health, and left a positive impact based on the results of the questionnaires, in addition to the “My Job” initiative that helps develop skills employees.
