“Due to the high fire danger in the forests of the Chuvash Republic, restrictions are being introduced on cultural events, the passage of vehicles into forests, except for travel on public roads and travel to ensure the protection of forests, the stay of citizens in forests, with the exception of forest workers” , the ministry said in a statement.

It is emphasized that the restriction of the stay of citizens in the forests and the entry of vehicles into them in order to ensure fire safety is introduced from August 28 to September 17.

It is specified that forest roads will be blocked with barriers in the region, as well as a system of checkpoints will be created and patrolling of forests will be strengthened.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Alexander Kurenkov, recommended that the governors of the regions of the Central and Volga federal districts impose a ban on visiting forests and suspend the hunting season due to fire danger.
