Today, TV4's Cold facts reveal that five out of eight parties have been willing to help with arrangements that make larger financial donations anonymous - even though this may be against the law.

When a businessman who offers large sums of money with the requirement of anonymity calls up the parties, several of them suggest that he should let someone else donate the money in order to avoid being identified himself.

The arrangement appears as a solution, among other things, in a conversation with the Social Democrats.

Now the party's financial manager Magdalena Agrell, who appears in Kalla Fakta's program, has been removed from office, says party leader Magdalena Andersson to TV4 and states that the party "acted immediately on this".

When SVT Nyheter asks the party's press service Juan Pablo-Roa, he confirms that "the employee is not on duty", but does not want to answer if the reason is today's disclosure.

- Otherwise, we do not comment on personnel matters.

The law on transparency in party financing was tightened in 2018 to prevent corruption.

Large anonymous contributions are prohibited so that hidden money cannot influence politics and according to the law every party must openly report the name of every person who gives more than SEK 24,150.
