“The UN Secretary General and other high-ranking UN representatives are in close contact with the host country and relevant missions, including the mission of the Russian Federation, on issues within the framework of the UN-US headquarters agreement,” TASS quoted him as saying.
He stressed that the UN will continue to work on resolving this issue.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said that the Russian Embassy in the United States applied to the State Department with a request to issue visas to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and other members of the Russian delegation to the UN General Assembly.
