In this new episode of the "At the heart of history" podcast, history specialist Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach tells the story of the life of one of the greatest American inventors: Thomas Edison.

At the dawn of the 1930s, the glory of Thomas Edison gave no indication of the inventor's difficult beginnings.

Small, Edison is a very turbulent child.

He runs away, he is bored at school, and he conducts chemical experiments in the basement of the house which sometimes end in disaster.

So, at the age of 13, Thomas Edison left home and got hired as a newspaper seller in a railway company.

In no time, the out-of-control child becomes a hard-working boy.

But hunt the natural, it comes back at a gallop... This story is a Europe 1 Studio production.
