The Public Prosecution Office in Egypt announced that it has launched investigations into a fire in the church hall of Anba Bishoy in Minya that caused damage to the hall and did not result in any deaths or injuries.

A fire broke out in the church yesterday, Tuesday, due to an electrical short, as firefighting teams were able to control the fire that occurred in one of the closed halls of the church and put it out without causing any loss of life, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior.

A statement by the Public Prosecution said that it had delegated the General Department to collect criminal evidence to raise all antiquities for examination, and identified a number of eyewitnesses at the scene of the incident to be held accountable.

This fire is the third of its kind this week, as a similar fire was brought under control due to an electrical short, the day before yesterday, Monday, it occurred in the Church of Anba Moussa in the city of Kerdasa in Giza Governorate (west of Cairo) and did not result in casualties or injuries.

And a large fire occurred in the Abu Sefein Church in the Imbaba neighborhood in Giza last Sunday, killing 41 people and wounding 16, including members of the police. electrical.
