Melnik was arrested on August 9 by the Lefortovo Court on suspicion of committing a crime under part 1 of article 201.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (“Use by a person performing managerial functions in a commercial or other organization of his powers contrary to the legitimate interests of this organization”).
It is specified that Melnik did not admit guilt in the disruption of the state defense order.
