The temperature is over 40°C.

It is worth noting that the daily maximum temperature at Chongqing Beibei National Station reached 44.6 ℃, which is the first high temperature since the meteorological record in Chongqing.

  The reporter learned from the Chongqing Municipal Committee of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that due to the continuous high temperature and extreme weather, grain crops such as rice, soybeans, corn, and sweet potatoes were seriously affected.

Chongqing has taken effective countermeasures to reduce drought losses and strive for the stable development of autumn grains.

Up to now, the Chongqing Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission has dispatched 19 technical guidance groups to go deep into all the hard-hit districts and counties to carry out field guidance; since July, 14 technical guidance opinions on drought resistance such as rice, corn, vegetables, and sweet potatoes have been issued.

  At present, over 80% of the corn harvest and over 40% of the rice harvest in Chongqing are harvested.

In terms of implementing drought-resistance measures, the agricultural and rural departments of Chongqing have actively adopted measures such as mulching cultivation, promotion of integrated water and fertilizer technology, and spraying of drought-resisting agents to reduce drought losses; early organize farmers to rush to harvest mature crops in a timely manner to ensure that autumn grain "particles go back to the warehouse" ".

  In addition, since the beginning of summer forest fire prevention, Chongqing has issued orange and red warning signals for forest fire danger twice in a row. The second red warning signal has lasted for 13 days and is still ongoing.

The Chongqing Forestry Bureau revealed that 10 districts and counties in the city have issued forest fire prevention and closure orders to control personnel and fire sources; more than 3 rounds of pull-net-type hidden danger investigations have been carried out in key areas in a row, and 998 hidden dangers have been rectified; the daily average of 5.1 in Chongqing More than 10,000 people have carried out mountain patrols and forest protection, and more than 4,100 fire checkpoints (cards) have been set up. The city's 36 state-owned forest farms with 788 people are stationed in front of the forest fire brigade.
